Aerosol coatings are spray paints applied from pressurized cans. They are convenient and user-friendly because they are portable, have a long shelf life, and cover irregular or hard-to-reach surfaces. People use industrial spray coatings for various applications, such as protecting components against abrasion, corrosion, grease, and slipping.
Our team recently attended the National Pavement Expo in Charlotte, NC. With this post, we share their insights on the show.
Maybe foremost, we were happy to attend a show and interact with customers again safely!
The team appreciated everyone who stopped by our booth; there were plenty of great questions.
The Original Gorilla Paint is our toughest zone-marking paint. This durable acrylic copolymer paint lasts longer, retains color longer, and stays cleaner. Solvent-borne Gorilla paint dries quickly and provides much better durability than ordinary fast-dry paint. Gorilla performs well on all types of pavement, is easy to clean up, and is available in all colors.

MMA vs. Thermoplastics for Pavement Marking
Highly trafficked highways, roads, intersections, dedicated bike lanes and paths require durable lines to guide the flow of traffic, which cannot be achieved with traditional waterbased paint. Due to the high cost of maintenance, state and local agencies have looked for other options. Methyl methacrylate (MMA) and thermoplastics have both become popular for painting lines and markings on paved surfaces.
MMA (Methyl Methacrylate), Two-Component Traffic Paint
MMA Two-component traffic paint is a highly versatile, durable option for line striping high-traffic areas such as roadways, parking lots, crosswalks, bike paths and bus lanes. Two-component paint is formed by mixing a pigmented base resin with a polymer curing agent. When mixed and applied immediately, these two elements polymerize to form a strong, long-lasting compound.
When durability and color retention in a low VOC product are needed the most, Aexcel’s Low VOK and ToughLine® are your products of choice.
